How to Configure SSL Renewal App on GoDaddy cPanel

Configure the PHP files and GoDaddy cPanel settings required to use SSL Renewal App. Download PHP files in below link

1. Create the folders

Replace your_host_username and the domain names with your own GoDaddy cPanel values.

  acme_certificate_manager.php
  secrets_site1/
    .env
    certsage-data/
  public_html/
    your_website_domain.com/
      php_ssl_script/
        api.php

Note: if your website files under public_html, then place php_ssl_script folder inside public_html

2. Upload the PHP files

1. Upload acme_certificate_manager.php to /home/your_host_username/acme_certificate_manager.php.
2. Upload api.php to /home/your_host_username/public_html/your_website_domain.com/php_ssl_script/api.php.
3. Create /home/your_host_username/secrets_site1/certsage-data.
4. Keep .env, the ACME engine, certificate data, and private keys outside public_html.

3. Configure api.php

At the top of api.php, set the environment file path:

$envFilePath = '/home/your_host_username/secrets_site1/.env';

4. Create the environment file

Create /home/your_host_username/secrets_site1/.env with these values. Replace the example username and domains.

5. Set permissions

Set the .env file permission to 0600. The certificate data directory and each configured domain root must be writable by PHP. Keep SSL_API_DEBUG=false in production.

6. Connect the mobile app

Open SSL Renewal App and enter:

1. HTTPS API URL: for example, https://your_domain.com/php_ssl_script/api.php.
2. API token: the exact value of SSL_API_TOKEN.

Tap Save server settings.

7. Test with Let’s Encrypt staging

1. Enter one or more domains that are present in SSL_ALLOWED_DOMAINS.
2. Select Let’s Encrypt staging.
3. Start the certificate operation.

8. Renew and install the production certificate

After staging succeeds:

1. Select Production and install.
2. Enter the approved domain or domains.
3. Start the renewal.
4. Refresh the domain status to confirm the new certificate.
